Urquhart Castle has a bloody history which is depicted in the excellent presentation at the site. Walk around the ruins at enjoy the enviable views of Loch Ness. Travelling over an old drover road to Beauly, a picturesque village on the shores of the firth, visited by Mary Queen of Scots we then head north to Millionaire's View, the Falls of Shin and the magnificent, if not controversial; due to the families history of brutally evicting tenants, Dunrobin Castle.
